The current research status of automotive driving simulators

Currently, research on car/bus/truck driving simulators mainly focuses on driving scenario modeling, driving route planning, driving behavior analysis, and other aspects. Among them, driving scene modeling is one of the core technologies of automotive driving simulators. It includes modeling and rendering various elements of the driving scene, such as weather, roads, buildings, vehicles, etc. Meanwhile, in order to provide drivers with a more realistic driving experience, researchers have optimized and enhanced the visual and auditory perception of driving simulators.

In addition, some research focuses on driving behavior analysis, collecting driver behavior data in driving simulators to analyze driver behavior and decision-making in different situations, in order to provide reference for better assisting drivers in improving their driving skills.
